The festival, which draws an estimated quarter of a million people, is celebrating its 20th anniversary as an annual juried arts and crafts fair featuring 200 artisans and craftspeople from the Northwest and beyond.

The festival offers an array of finely crafted items including jewelry, photography, textiles, glass, fine art, woodworking, sculpture, ceramics and pottery.

Artist talk: Architect and artist Iole Alessandrini will discuss her light/sound installation, “Untitled,” currently on view at Jack Straw New Media Gallery, at 2 p.m. Saturday at the gallery at 4261 Roosevelt Way NE.

The exhibit uses lasers and sound controlled by photoelectric cells in a specially designed room to create a multidimensional experience of walking through planes of light and sound waves.

The exhibit remains on view from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday through Sept. 17.

Works on display as part of the “Summery” show at the Art Boutique in Everett.
