Ecoterrorism and mermen: Sultan author Christopher Vaughn plans to give a reading at Main Street Books in Monroe at 7 tonight.
Vaughn will promote his recent self-published book, “The Man Beneath Lake Union.” Billed as a micro-adventure geared toward young adults, the book introduces readers to Owen Ruger. Ruger is hired to investigate ecoterrorism along the Seattle waterfront — but his story takes a turn after he sees a merman.
Along with a reading, there will be a free raffle to win a signed replica of Owen Ruger’s 1979 Pontiac Trans Am.
Main Street Books is at 110 E. Main St., Monroe. For more information, call 360-794-2976, or for more on the book, visit www.alleywolf.com.
The book lists for $6.95.
