A remake of a 1974 horror movie of the same name, “Black Christmas” tells the story of abuse victim Billy, who murders his mother and stepfather. Years later, a group of sorority sisters, who now live in Billy’s childhood home, find themselves harassed by mysterious phone calls during Christmas break. One of the girls goes missing, then the girls turn up murdered, one by one. The sorority sisters are played by Katie Cassidy, Lacey Chabert, Crystal Lowe, Jessica Harmon, Leela Savasta, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jessica Harmon and Michelle Trachtenberg; Andrea Martin is their house mother. The film, which was not screened for reviewers, is rated R for strong horror violence and gore, sexuality, nudity and language. It opens today at Alderwood, Everett, Meridian and Cascade Mall.
