Check Los Inquietos del Norte as they rise

Los Inquietos del Norte could heat up the Comcast Arena at Everett Events Center during a show Saturday night.

In a live video, band members high-five their fans before taking the stage. Clad in black with cowboy hats atop their heads, they launch into a lively number, smiling and shimmying during the guitar breaks.

While that number has a bounce to it, other songs move at a slower pulse, like their heartfelt hit “Sin Ti,” or “Without You.”

Alex Guerra with La Fortuna Promotions, which put together Saturday’s show, described the group’s songs as traditional Mexican music. He said the band is known for handing out CDs and T-shirts during concerts and sticking around after the show to take pictures with fans.

“They like to have fun,” Guerra said of band members. “They’re really funny guys. They’re dancing, jumping, playing the guitars.”

The group, whose name translates to the restless north, also has a certain amount of edginess. Many of the group’s CDs bear a parental advisory warning.

While the band formed in 1995, it had a relatively low profile for the first decade together. In September 2006, however, “Sin Ti” reached No. 8 on Billboard’s regional Mexican airplay chart.

According to Guerra, successes like that have vaulted the group onto bigger stages. He said the band can draw 6,000 people in California, and has sold out shows in Portland, Ore., and Seattle.

“They kind of exploded,” Guerra said. “…The people love their music, they love their style.”

Opening acts Pancho Barraza, Conjunto Atardecer and Corazones Del Amor share the bill for the 8:30 p.m. show. Tickets are $42 in advance or $62 at the door, and can be purchased by calling 866-332-8499.
