Cyndi Lauper will play ZooTunes finale at Woodland Park

Summer concert fun, zoo-style, just got an additional boost.

The closing act for Woodland Park Zoo’s 2010 ZooTunes concerts will be Cyndi Lauper’s “Memphis Blues Tour,” on Sept. 2, according to press materials.

Tickets for Lauper’s show, all $29, are available starting Monday through Metropolitan Markets at Sand Point, Queen Anne, West Seattle, Uptown and Proctor (see www.metropolitan-market.com for directions), or by calling 206-548-2500, or at the various zoo admission gates.

The series, which includes Jewel with Radney Foster on June 27, The Levon Helm Band with Joe Pug on Aug. 11 and Herbie Hancock’s The Imagine Project on Aug. 29, is presented at the zoo’s North Meadow, 601 N. 59th St., Seattle.
