Donate kids underwear for reuse in India, Ethiopia and Romania

You know what’s easy to take for granted?
Underwear.
This morning, however, a little note from Ideal Bite sent me to Project Underwear, which collects new and gently used childrens underwear.
Nicole Anderson, who founded the program, delivers the underwear in person to kids during her travels to in India, Ethiopia and Romania, where kids often don’t enjoy the luxury.
Obviously, you can put your kids’ underwear up for reuse at second-hand stores, but if you want to get exotic about it, you can mail them to Anderson, who is apparently based in Italy. She’ll distribute the undies and then send a postcard to the families and children who donate to the program, which has an awesome logo you should check out.
Maybe this could be a feel-good project for the kids, who may not fully appreciate the hygienic benefit of clean underthings.
Yeah?
I think so.
Oddly, this is the second time in one week that underwear has come up on Eco Geek.
What are the odds?
