Eddie Izzard’s ‘Work in Progress’ at Seattle Rep

Eddie Izzard, who earned a Tony Award nomination for his role in “A Day in the Death of Joe Egg,” will workshop his upcoming new solo show, “Work in Progress,” Saturday and Sunday at Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Currently starring in the Fox television series “The Riches” opposite Minnie Driver, Izzard recently reprised his turn as an accomplice to the title group in “Ocean’s Thirteen.”

The Yemen-born Brit also boasts several London stage credits, among them the title role in the once-Broadway-bound Lenny Bruce bio “Lenny” and the world premiere of David Mamet’s “The Cryptogram.”

His film roles include “Ocean’s Twelve,” “Velvet Goldmine,” “Shadow of the Vampire,” “The Cat’s Meow,” “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” and the forthcoming “Across the Universe.”

“Lightning in a Bottle”: The West of Brooklyn Theatre Company’s production of Martin Pierce’s new play continues through Aug. 18 at Theater Off Jackson in Seattle.

The show is directed by Jeff Church and features the photography of Jeffrey Wolff and the music of Tobin Jones.
