July 6 marked the annual Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for restaurants across the United States and Internationally.
Wine Spectator honors novel and creative wine lists in their restaurant awards. There was only one restaurant in Snohomish County that was honored, as Emory’s On Silver Lake was given the Award of Excellence, having held that award since 2014. They were also judged as having an ‘inexpensive’ list, having 160 wine selections, as the panel saw them as having some exceptional values on their wine list.
Just north of Everett, The Oyster Bar On Chuckanut Drive in Bow, Washington, was just honored with their Best of Award of Excellence, having held that since 1985. Their wine list was adjudged to be moderately priced.
Tulalip Bay, a restaurant at the Tulalip Resort Casino, previously held this award but was not honored this year.
