Young Chefs Academy, a Mill Creek school that offers cooking classes for kids, is launching a program focused on basic cooking skills.
The MasterChef program, for children 5 to 18, teaches kitchen safety, proper food handling, food preparation, cooking and baking techniques, presentation, table setting and manners.
Children join at any time and work at their own pace through a series of classes.
At the end, children receive a MasterChef jacket and diploma.
The cost is $10 plus the monthly membership fee of $79.
