Work up your Thanksgiving appetite with hiking or snowshoeing around Mount Rainier National Park, then settle in for good food and cozy comfort at one of these resort or inn options.

Mount Rainier rentals

Near Greenwater in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Mount Rainier Vacation Rentals is offering a precooked traditional Thanksgiving dinner delivered to the cabin’s refrigerator before your arrival. Rates for a three-night Thanksgiving stay with dinner for two start at $525 plus tax, with a bonus fourth night at $75.

For a party of six to eight, the package price is $825 plus tax for a three-night stay. All packages include accommodations in a fully-equipped cabin with fireplace, hot tub and a continental breakfast tray, as well as a National Forest Service Christmas tree-cutting pass (a $10 value). Alta Crystal Resort

Just minutes from the Crystal Mountain Ski Area, Alta Crystal Resort starts the holiday season on Nov. 25, with a screening of “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” followed by a wreath-making party.

A guided morning hike and snowshoe outing, as well as an evening bonfire, with s’mores and hot chocolate, are planned for Thanksgiving Day. Guests spending the weekend can join in karaoke on Friday and another bonfire on Saturday. After checkout, the Seahawks vs. the Rams game will be aired in the recreation room on Sunday.

All Thanksgiving packages include a ready-to-heat turkey or ham dinner (serving four to six people). National Park Inn

Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Mount Rainier National Park, the National Park Inn is offering a Thanksgiving buffet, including a herb-roasted turkey with cranberry pine nut stuffing, sage stuffing, hand-carved baron of beef, Grand Marnier cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, soup or salad, and more.

Served from noon to 7 p.m., the buffet is $19.95 for adults and $10.95 for children (age 10 and under).
