Whidbey Island Center for the Arts: Auditions for the five productions in the upcoming WICA season are scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 11 and 12, at the theater, 565 Camano Ave., Langley. The plays are “Into the Woods” by Stephen Sondheim, set for October; “A Christmas Story” for December; “Other Desert Cities” by Jon Robin Baitz, set for February 2015; “White Liars and Black Comedy” by Peter Shaffer, in April 2015; and “Emma,” adapted from Jane Austen by Michael Bloom, in June 2015.
