Weekend reading: Andy Samberg, Fall Out Boy, the Cops

You sort of knew this was coming.

Andy Samberg, the guy responsible for a lot of SNL digital shorts, is about to release an album with two of his writing partners.

The trio, dubbed the Lonely Island, has already hit big with songs like “In a Box,” and “In My Pants” (those both being abbreviations of the more scandalous song titles). So expect the album, “Incredibad,” to get lots of press when it hits stores in February.

In the meantime, read Samberg’s interview with Pitchfork below.

  • Samberg tells Pitchfork he really digs that new Lil Wayne album cover.
  • Nobody recognizes Patrick Stump, the New York Times says. (You may have to register with the site to access this article.)
  • Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz tells Time if push came to shove, he’d probably listen to Rihanna over Black Flag.
  • Patrick MacDonald, Seattle Times music critic, says bye, as do the Cops.
