Did you know there are over 200,000 people 55 or older in Snohomish County?

Many are active seniors, in need of resources to inform, educate and connect with services and programs essential to enjoying healthy, fulfilling lives. From better sleep to home care to tips for riding the bus, there’s a lot we need to know in order to continue ‘enjoying life along the way.’

To meet this need, The Daily Herald is hosting the 2023 Snohomish County Senior Resource Expo – an opportunity to connect with local organizations that support seniors.

“People are thirsty for knowledge, so they really want this kind of thing,” says The Herald’s Senior Resource Expo Coordinator, Jacqueray Smith. “We’re very excited about this event, and the opportunity to work with the community. It’s the first of it’s kind in Snohomish County.”

Happening Wednesday, Mar. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hotel Indigo in Everett, the Snohomish County Senior Resource Expo will feature over 50 exhibitors, including the following:

“The expo is an opportunity for seniors and their families to engage and network in a way that is both informative and fun,” Smith says. “People from the Skagit Historical Museum and Expedia Cruises will be on hand as well, so that’s pretty cool!”

The Snohomish County Senior Resource Expo will feature over 50 exhibitors as well as a Speaker Series.

The Expo includes a Speaker Series, featuring presentations from the Snohomish County Health Department, the Creative Retirement Institute, Washington State Long-term Care Ombudsman Program and more.

Sponsors for the event include the Snohomish County Health Department, Mukilteo Memory Care, Community Transit and Josephine Caring Community.

“We want to enhance the lives of seniors in the community as they age, and the Expo is the perfect way to do that,” Smith says. “So come and check out this amazing event – the hotel restaurant and bar open at 3 p.m., so you can stay for dinner and a drink after!”

Register for the Expo online here and be entered for a chance to win a trip for two on the Victoria Clipper.
