Proliance Surgeons Everett Bone & Joint is pleased to welcome Thomas Wesley Mitchell, MD, a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity care, to its growing team of physicians.

Dr. Mitchell brings both deep expertise and a patient-focused philosophy to the Everett community. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and advanced his skills with a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at UCLA.

“I think Dr. Mitchell will bring a new level of expertise to hand care in our region, being able to handle both complex and common hand conditions with confidence,” says Todd Havener, MD, Managing Partner and longtime hand surgeon at Everett Bone & Joint.

“He is down-to-earth and very approachable, and has a philosophy of keeping things simple and doing what is necessary without overtreating.”

Dr. Mitchell offers both nonsurgical and surgical solutions for a wide range of hand, wrist and upper-extremity conditions, including:

  • Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome
  • Trigger finger and Dupuytren’s contracture
  • Arthritis of the hand and wrist, including joint replacement
  • Fractures and complex reconstructive procedures
  • Tendon injuries and nerve decompression
  • De Quervain’s tenosynovitis and Ganglion Cysts

Dr. Mitchell knows that when hand function is compromised, so is your ability to work, create and connect with the world around you. Using advanced techniques and walking alongside patients throughout their recovery shows his dedication to helping people return to the things that matter most.

That same commitment to patient-centered care was recognized during his residency at Baylor, when he received the prestigious Bronze Hammer Award, an honor reserved for residents who demonstrate the highest standards of honesty, respect, selflessness, integrity and innovation in patient care.

“The best outcomes start with truly listening to patients and understanding their goals,” says Dr. Mitchell. “I aim to combine expertise with empathy to create treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and lifestyle.”

Dr. Mitchell is now accepting new patients at Proliance Surgeons Everett Bone & Joint, located at 1100 Pacific Ave., Suite 300 Everett, WA 98201-4261
