SEATTLE — Two people from Chicago have been charged with taking 18 bags from Sea-Tac Airport valued at more than $45,000.

Port of Seattle investigators say surveillance video from March showed 38-year-old Kervan Reed and 42-year-old Silvia Brooks would simply grab luggage from the baggage carousel and walk to a waiting car.

The seattlepi.com reports King County prosecutors have charged both with theft. Neither has been jailed. They were identified from surveillance photos and tips through Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

Charging papers say the pair are suspected of similar thefts at Portland International Airport.
