LYNNWOOD — A boy and a girl were wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon north of Lynnwood.
Several children were walking on the sidewalk in the 3500 block of 164th Street SW when two of them were hit by gunfire from a vehicle, according to Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The group on the sidewalk returned fire at the vehicle. Detectives believe the shooting was gang-related.
Both wounded children were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Two homes were also struck by bullets.
The shooter or shooters were still at large.
The road was closed for hours for an investigation.
