EVERETT — Authorities took three people to the hospital early Friday after a two-alarm fire at an Everett Mall Way apartment complex, officials said.
At about 5:18 a.m., firefighters responded to the fire at the Fulton’s Crossing and Landing apartments at 120 SE Everett Mall Way, according to the Everett Fire Department. Firefighters used a ladder to rescue one person. They also rescued two pets.
All three people taken to the hospital suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the fire department.
The fire damaged multiple apartments, officials said. The Red Cross was assisting displaced residents. It was unclear exactly how many were displaced.
Officials were investigating the cause of the fire Friday.
