62-year-old identified in deadly crash near Paine Field

EVERETT — A 62-year-old killed in a crash Sunday has been identified.
Just before 2:45 p.m., Jay D. Crandall, a motorcyclist, was involved in a “motorcycle versus motor vehicle collision” near the intersection of Airport Road and 112th Street SW outside Paine Field, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Firefighters took the man to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he later died.
Everett officer Ora Hamel said she did not have more information about the dynamics of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, a van, stayed on scene and cooperated with investigators, police said.
There were no pending charges, and the investigation was expected to conclude next week, according to the police department.
