CHICAGO — The Chicago teenager who was arrested after dressing up like a police officer and going on patrol earlier this year is in trouble with the law again after allegedly dressing like an adult to steal a car from a dealership.
Chicago Police spokesman Roderick Drew says the 15-year-old donned a suit and went to the dealership to take a test drive. Drew said an employee had to jump start the car, and when he left to return equipment, the boy drove off.
Drew said the boy crashed a short time later. He said the boy apparently tried to blend into the crowd that gathered by grabbing a stroller. Drew didn’t know if a child was inside.
In court Monday, the boy was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass to a vehicle, driving without a license leaving an accident scene.
