VERLOT — A 14-year-old boy with developmental disabilities is expected to recover after being rescued from a trail on Mount Pilchuck on Sunday.
The boy’s family asked for help about 4 p.m. after he appeared to have a medical problem on the trail to Lake 22, police said. Rescue using a helicopter hoist was not possible.
Ground crews were able to reach the boy and carry him down the trail, where an aid car was waiting.
Additional information about the rescue was not available Monday. The boy’s injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
The incident was not related to another rescue in the same general area earlier that afternoon of a 14-year-old boy who was critically injured in a fall on Mount Pilchuck.
