City of Blaine still plain old Blaine

BLAINE — The city of Blaine is still plain old Blaine.

Voters rejected a proposal to change the name to Blaine Harbor.

The Bellingham Herald reported that it’s the second time since 2000 residents have rejected the idea.

Supporters thought drawing attention to the border town’s water would attract more visitors as they crossed to and from Canada.
