EvCC’s Cedar Hall dorm to open September 2017

EVERETT — Everett Community College will begin accepting applications for its newest student housing building Jan. 2.

The building is expected to be completed in time for the fall quarter of 2017. It has been named Cedar Hall, after a suggestion by student Jenna Mohr.

Developer Teutsch Partners is building the dormitory on the site of the former Lona Vista Apartments at 931 Broadway Ave. The Lona Vista was closed after the college’s first new dorm, Mountain View, across the street, opened in September.

Cedar Hall is expected to have 120 private rooms and house 132 students. The building will continue to be owned by Teutsch Partners, but managed by Everett Community College.
