Ex-Clark Co. prosecutor resolves charge

VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Clark County deputy prosecutor who resigned in June after he was accused of attempting to patronize a prostitute resolved the case by entering a diversion program.
Jeffrey W. Holmes appeared Thursday before a Skamania County judge and agreed to the standard treatment for first-time misdemeanor offenders. If he pays a $350 find, performs 24 hours of community service, receives counseling and goes crime-free for a year, the charge will be dismissed.
The Columbian reported that the 31-year-old Vancouver man worked for the prosecutor’s office for nearly six years, prosecuting domestic violence cases.
