7:30 a.m.: 4-H senior huntseat, saddleseat, and novice English bareback equestrian event, Arena &Arena Clubroom.
9 a.m.: 4-H service dog showmanship, Dog Barn &Ring.
CONTESTS &DEMONSTRATIONS
6 p.m.: 4-H mechanical science GPS mapping contest, 4-H Building.
KIDS
5 p.m.: Egg toss contest, Arena &Arena Clubroom.
FOOD
1 p.m.: 7th Annual Chocolate Extravaganza, Snohomish County Agriculture Display.
ENTERTAINMENT
11 a.m.: Monroe Fair Parade, downtown Monroe.
10 a.m.-Noon: Ed Hume live broadcast, Snohomish County Agriculture Display.
2:30-6 p.m.: Meet the U.S. Figure Skating Team, Snohomish County Agriculture Display.
TICKET PRICES
General admission:
* Adults, 16-61, $9.
* Senior citizens, 62-89, $7. 90 and older, free.
* Youth, 6-15, $5. Five years and younger, free.
* Family ticket, $25. Good for two adults and up to four children or senior citizens.
* Barnyard Buddy Pass, for 6 adults, $36
NO NEED TO DRIVE
Community Transit provides an easy way to get to the fair. Buses from Everett, Snohomish and Gold Bar (routes 270, 271 and 275) are running on extended hours. Fares are $1.25 for adults, 75 cents for youth, and 50 cents for seniors.
Park your car free at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave. in Everett, or at the Snohomish Park &Ride at Highway 9 and Bickford Avenue.
PARKING
One-day pass, no re-entry, $7.
HOW TO GET THERE
The Evergreen State Fairgrounds are located in Monroe, 14 miles east of Everett on U.S. 2, and 30 miles northeast of Seattle via I-405 and Highway 522.
