Chamber luncheon

The quarterly Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce Luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. March 14 at the Opera House.

Guest speaker Dean Van Dyke will talk about “Lead Generation Techniques; and how to start implementing them today.”

Cost is $5 if registered online by noon March 8; $10 after that or at the door. Price includes lunch. — The Marysville Globe

Culture at Cascade

The public is invited to the first Cascade Culture Night at the Cascade High School cafeteria. It is planned for 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 20. Enjoy free food and “celebrate our school’s incredibly rich cultural diversity,” according to the invite. There also will be students’ original artwork, spoken-word poetry and a dance performance. The location is 801 E. Casino Road.

Help the shelter

A donation drive is running March 20 to May 10 to support Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County. The items are for women who are helped by the shelter. Needs include white towels, pillows, sheets, blankets, robes and toiletries.

The drive is organized by Two Men And A Truck Everett.

Collection sites include a number of locations such as businesses, schools and houses of worship around Snohomish County. Find a complete list at bit.ly/EverettMoversForMoms.

Help make music

The nonprofit Snohomish County Music Project welcomes volunteers. There are opportunities for audio-visual engineers, carpenters, event coordinators, painters and more. Programs include music lessons for children, and group music therapy for veterans and seniors.

HEADS UP

Northshore schools recognition

Nominate someone who has been part of the Northshore School District, such as alumni, volunteers or retirees, who has had an effect in the area or the world. The district is looking for people to add to its “Wall of Honor.” Submit online at www.nsd.org/wallof honor, by 5 p.m. March 15.

The Northshore district includes some of unincorporated Snohomish County, Bothell and parts of King County.

Art awards

Everett’s 26th annual Wendt and Mayor’s Arts Awards, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Everett Performing Arts Center, was canceled because of the weather.

The new date for the event is April 15, with doors opening at 6 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave. The award winners are selected by the Everett Cultural Arts Commission.

The Lynnwood City Council has a special work session planned for 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall. The gathering is the council’s annual summit.
