EVERETT — One driver suffered a serious leg injury after a Honda Civic lost control, hitting a Toyota Tacoma and sending it into oncoming traffic near the 200 block of West Casino Road.
Just after 7 a.m., Everett Fire responded to the scene, using tools to cut through metal to free the driver of the Lexus, who was hit head on by the Tacoma, said Officer Kerby Duncan of the Everett Police Department.
Both the driver of the Lexus and the Tacoma were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center, only the driver of the Lexus suffered a serious injury, Duncan said.
The driver of the Civic left the scene on foot, Duncan said.
All westbound lanes of Casino Road were shut down until around 11 a.m. while the Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit investigated the cause.
