MILL CREEK — The Henry M. Jackson High School robotics team has won third place in a world competition.
The 2022 FIRST Championship was held in Houston over four days. Team Jack in the Bot competed against 400 teams from 40 countries.
The team’s robot ranked No. 1 in the Pacific Northwest District before they traveled to Texas, according to a news release from Everett Public Schools.
“I am extremely proud of the students, coaches and mentors with all they have accomplished this season,” robotics coach Kyle Pihl said in a news release at the time. “They have done truly amazing work this year.”
Only 18 out of more than 120 teams from Washington, Oregon and Alaska qualified for the world competition.
