MARYSVILLE — Police believe a 33-year-old Marysville man was targeted in a drive-by shooting early Friday near a gas station downtown.

The man was in the 1200 block of Fourth Street at about 12:30 a.m. when a car drove slowly by and a passenger shot him, Marysville police Sgt. Jeff Franzen said in a news release. The victim was on the ground and had multiple gunshot wounds when officers found him. He was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The preliminary investigation has led the detectives to believe this was not a random shooting, that there was some disagreement between the man and the person who shot him,” Franzen said.

Police released a video-surveillance image of the suspects’ vehicle — an apparently white sedan — and are seeking witnesses, who can contact detectives at 360-363-8300.
