Man enters Lake Stevens apartment through window and is shot

The alleged intruder was taken to a hospital. No arrests had been made as of Thursday evening.

LAKE STEVENS — A shooting at a Lake Stevens apartment sent a man to the hospital Thursday morning.

Authorities said the man, 21, tried to enter an apartment through a window at the 9200 block of Market Place around 9:15 a.m. He was reportedly shot in the shoulder by a man, 37, who was asleep inside a bedroom with a woman, according to Lake Stevens police. The wounded man was taken to a hospital.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday evening. The shooter was detained for questioning, Cmdr. Jeff Beazizo said.

According to police, the woman in the apartment knew both the shooter and the injured man.

The shooter was detained, questioned and released.
