MARYSVILLE — The Marysville School Board is accepting applications to fill an open seat.
Sherry Weersing, who ran unopposed and was elected in District 3, notified the district she has decided not to accept the position.
District 3 encompasses the central area of the district, which stretches roughly from 100th Street NE to 64th Street NE, between State Avenue and 67th Avenue NE. Interested candidates must reside within District 3.
The district will be accepting applications through Jan. 7 at 4:30 p.m. Application packets are available at the district’s Educational Service Center at 4220 80th St. NE, Marysville, WA 98270, or online at www.msd25.org/page/school-board-application.
The appointed director will fill the seat until the November 2023 election.
