Anniversaries

Peterson

Robert and Karen Peterson of Everett celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week.

The couple met at a dance and were married Dec. 3, 1960, in Everett. They have lived in Snohomish County all of their lives. They have two daughters and three grandchildren.

They hope to spend many more years together.

Miller

John and Vera Miller of Everett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 4.

The couple met at an Everett theater when Vera, who worked as an usher, helped John find his seat.

She was a farm girl from Langley. He was a city boy, born and raised in Everett.

John was serving in the U.S. Air Force, and Vera took a Greyhound bus to Anacostia, Md., where he was stationed.

The couple moved to Everett in 1954. They have two daughters, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
