LYNNWOOD — A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital with life threatening injuries after crashing into an SUV on Highway 99 in Lynnwood, according to police.
The Mountlake Terrace man, who is in his 20s, was going southbound on Highway 99 a little before 11 a.m. when he crashed into the driver’s side of the SUV, police spokesperson Joanna Small said. The SUV was turning left onto Highway 99 from 186th Place SW.
The motorcyclist was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the SUV, a Lynnwood man in his 70s, did not suffer any serious injuries, Small said.
Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash, but are still investigating who may have been at fault, Small said. Anyone who witnessed the collision, or potentially have video evidence, are asked to contact Sgt. Jason Valentine at jvalentine@lynnwoodwa.gov.
