ARLINGTON — A man suffered serious injuries Tuesday evening after a vehicle hit him on Highway 9.
The Mount Vernon man, 46, was walking at about 9:22 p.m. on the northbound shoulder of the road near 256th Street NE. A vehicle struck the person and drove off, according to the Washington State Patrol. The make and model wasn’t available.
The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The collision was under investigation. The suspect vehicle likely has significant damage to its front end, according to the State Patrol.
