Arlington: Classes on art, health, design
The City of Arlington is offering several classes in the coming months, including art clinics, a CPR course and a feng shui health clinic for families.
Other classes include first aid, the “digital darkroom” and a family martial arts program.
Classes begin at $12.
The classes are held at a variety of locations around Arlington.

Marysville: Class in food handling offered
Anyone hoping to receive a food handler’s permit may qualify through a class offered in Marysville.
The Ken Baxter Senior-Community Center is taking registration for the class, taught by the Snohomish Health District.
The class is 2 p.m. Jan. 31 at the senior center, 514 Delta Ave. in Comeford Park.
The class costs $10 and is for people ages 16 and older.

Community center offering tax help
The Ken Baxter Senior-Community Center offers free tax preparation for seniors and low-income residents.
An appointment with a trained volunteer may be scheduled between Feb. 1 and April 15.

Stanwood: Forum on Democrats planned
A forum to educate voters about the Democratic presidential candidates and the state caucus process is planned for this weekend in Stanwood.
The forum, sponsored by the Stanwood Democrats and the Camano Island Democrats, is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Stillaguamish Grange Hall at the Stanwood Fairgrounds at 6521 Pioneer Highway.
Representatives of each of the major Democratic candidates plan to be on hand to answer questions. The event also includes presentation on how the caucus process works.
Organizers hope the forum encourages more people to participate in the upcoming presidential primary election.

Tulalip: Staff needed to work in luxury hotel

Anyone can apply for a job — including positions as housekeepers, receptionists, spa specialists and banquet coordinators — at the luxury Tulalip Hotel, scheduled to open its doors this year. It will be the newest addition to the Tulalip Resort Casino at Quil Ceda Village in Tulalip.
A job fair to staff the hotel, which will need a team that tribal leaders say could be as large as 400 people, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 28 in the Tulalip Tribal Gym in the Tulalip Tribal Center, at 6700 Totem Beach Road in Tulalip. The fair’s second day will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 29 at Canoes Cabaret in the Tulalip Casino at 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd. in Tulalip.
