Police hunt for pharmacy robber in Edmonds

EDMONDS — Police here were on the hunt Monday for a man who robbed a pharmacy.

Just after 11 a.m., a man entered a pharmacy in the 7600 block of 212th Street SW in Edmonds. The robber tried to hide his identity by wearing a mask, gloves and a hood. He gave an employee a note demanding drugs before running away.

While police searched for the man, nearby schools were locked down as a precaution, Edmonds police Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.

The man was wearing a hip-length dark coat over a gray hooded sweatshirt.
