EVERETT — Police are searching for the drivers and vehicles responsible for a hit and run that left a woman dead on Evergreen Way early Wednesday.
Just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, a 41-year-old woman was run over by “multiple cars” that all drove away in the 10100 block of Evergreen Way, according to Everett police.
According to witnesses, the initial car that hit the pedestrian was a dark-colored SUV, identified by police as “possibly a Toyota.” The second vehicle was described as a silver or gray vehicle.
The woman was run over by an additional four or five vehicles, according to the police department. No description was given for any of those cars.
Detectives were still investigating Thursday if the woman was crossing the street and why so many vehicles hit her, police spokesperson Ora Hamel said. Investigators believe the collisions were “spaced apart” and occurred at different times.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area with a dashcam to review past footage for any information on the hit and run.
Anyone with information about this incident was asked to call the Everett Police Department tip line at (425) 257-8450.
