WOODLAND — Police in the southwest Washington town of Woodland say an officer shot and killed a 58-year-old man early Sunday.
According to a news release from the Woodland Police Department, the officer was responding to a call of an armed man at about 2 a.m. The officer confronted the subject and fired his duty weapon, killing the man.
The department said it would not release any further information before Monday, when it expected to release the identities of the officer and the man who was shot.
