Police are asking for help identifying a man who snatched a woman’s wallet in Everett on June 7.

EVERETT — Police are asking for help finding a man accused of stealing a woman’s wallet in Everett last week.

On Tuesday, the Everett Police Department released a surveillance video image showing the suspect.

The theft was reported at 4:22 p.m. June 7 at Cafe Zippy. The victim was seated an outdoor table at the downtown cafe along Wetmore Avenue. She had her hand on her wallet, Everett police Sgt. Maryjane Hacker said.

The man ran up, grabbed her hand and pulled the wallet free. He then ran northbound. The victim chased him but lost sight of him after a short distance.

The man is described as white, about 20 and “very thin.” He had clean-cut brown hair and wore a blue T-shirt, blue shorts and dark shoes.
