Snohomish County woman, 25, found dead alongside U.S. 2

STEVENS PASS — A 25-year-old Snohomish County woman was found dead Tuesday night along U.S. 2, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.
A passing driver on a remote stretch of U.S. 2 near Rock Mountain Trail found the woman around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police believe the woman ended up there early that morning.
The case is being investigated as a suspicious death. The cause of death has not been confirmed.
The Chelan County Sheriff wrote in a news release there is “no evidence to support a safety concern for Chelan County citizens or travelers in that area of U.S. 2 and believe it to be an isolated incident.”
