MILL CREEK — A 19-year-old man was hospitalized early Saturday morning after he jumped in front of a car on 132nd Street SE, Mill Creek police said.

The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. just west of 35th Ave. SE and temporarily shut down westbound traffic.

The teenager was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious leg and facial injuries, police said. Officers suspect that the pedestrian was under the influence of drugs. The driver of the Subaru Forester that hit him was shaken up, but uninjured.

An investigation was ongoing.
