SNOHOMISH — Two people died after a head-on crash on U.S. 2 near the Three Lakes Road overpass.
A 2003 Nissan truck was westbound, crossed the centerline and hit a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan around 10 p.m. Monday. Both drivers were killed, and no other injuries were reported by the Washington State Patrol. Release of their identities was pending next of kin notification.
A third vehicle with five people inside was behind the minivan when the crash happened. The 2004 Ford F-150 crossed the centerline and hit the back of the minivan. None of those passengers, one of whom is a teenager from Everett, or the driver were injured.
Both lanes were blocked. The cause of the collision was under investigation by the state patrol.
