Many chain restaurants across the nation now post calorie counts and other nutritional information on their menus.

In many cases, the calories counts are required by government regulation, And at Claim Jumper, the restaurant chain noted for enormous serving sizes, regulators may also order additional disclosures, such as “This Entree Could Feed an Entire Village in Sub-Saharan Africa for One Day.”

Buttoned-down mind: Octogenarian Bob Newhart got big laughs during a guest appearance Thursday on “The Big Bang Theory.” The legendary comedian conjured fond memories of his 1970s and ‘80 sitcoms.

NBC executives must be wishing Newhart would wake up and explain that the peacock network’s disastrously low-rated prime-time schedule was only a dream.

Warren! Warren! Thousands of starstruck admirers hung on 82-year-old billionaire Warren Buffett’s every word at the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting in Omaha, Neb., over the weekend.

The only other senior citizens who get this kind of rock-star treatment are named Mick and Keith.
