Some like it hot

Is it hot in here or is it just us? The Everett AquaSox began a five-game series in Yakima on Tuesday night, where temperatures are expected to reach up into the low 100s for the duration. While the Yakima Bears clubhouse is air-conditioned, the visitors locker room is not, which the Frogs’ manager called “a heck of a home field advantage.”
The next time the Bears are in town, we will deny any knowledge of how the thermostats in the visitors clubhouse at Everett Memorial Stadium were glued on “high.”

How hot is it, Jay? Unaccustomed as most of us “wetsiders” are to the recent heat wave, kids and adults are looking for ways to cool off.
It’s so hot, Costco has been forced to limit customers to 2 minutes each in the walk-in cooler.
It’s so hot, Seafair’s hydroplane races have been moved indoors to Comcast Arena’s now-liquid ice rink.
It’s so hot, confused residents of Eastern Washington have been repeatedly bumping temperature displays at area banks, like moths against a light bulb.
It’s so hot, the last remnant of the Big Four Ice Caves was accidentally packed into a cooler of warm beer by hikers from Bellevue.
