Criticism simply doesn’t hold up

When I read the opinion page I like to read letters to the editor that have a little creativity, rather than the same rehash and fill in the blank letters that the conservative right has been sending out for years. “A liberal tax and spend Democrat” letter sent in by Mr. McLaughlin (Oct. 15) is just another example. These misleading letters have been circulating for years and sorry to say been printed on opinion pages of local papers with consistency trying to convince readers that the D’s are bad and the R’s are good. They localize these letters somewhat but mostly they are the same old mantra.

Take a look at the real issues, see what Rep. Rick Larsen has done for his district and you will see that this type of criticism just doesn’t hold up. As a freshman congressman he has shown leadership and determination to help his constituents and most of all he listens. This is the type of person I want to help my local community and that is why I have pledged my support to get Rick Larsen reelected. I don’t need a need a national letter campaign to tell me how to vote.
