The Edmonds School District officials should be the ones who have to eat a dry cheese sandwich. Who in their right mind would pass the responsibility of paying for lunch to the child due to the irresponsibility of the parent not paying the fees? Then throwing the food away in front of the child makes it more degrading and wasteful.
The problem is an adult problem, but the district thinks if we punish the child it will make them (the child) a more responsibe person.
