Extreme fines good alternative

The recent letters in regard to people opposing the traffic cameras in Monroe in order to break the law could not be more accurate. I have a simple solution: If the residents vote to take down the cameras, then listen to them. But, if this is the case, then skyrocket the ticket prices. Maybe if a traffic cam won’t be a speed deterrent, then a $700 speeding ticket will!
