Freedoms extend to all in the herd

I see a Tea Party type wrote in and complained about getting no respect. (Monday letter, “Herald editorial: Disrepected Tea Party members.”)
He also said people who didn’t agree with him should be herded up. It’s interesting how those who endlessly talk about freedom are so quick to want to take it away from anyone who disagrees with them.
I wonder what he thinks of the latest approval rating of the Congress with so many Tea Party members. I think it was less than 10 percent, which is the lowest I ever remember. I am 65, by the way.
It also seems to me that we will never solve any problems as long as politics and social issues are being endlessly fought over.
