Garth Fell has integrity to run county auditor’s office

As a retired employee of the county auditor’s office, I am disturbed by the accusations of a candidate against the incumbent. I worked in the auditors office as the accountant/administrative assistant for 14-plus years and I know first hand what the auditor does during the day and it is not running all over the county at events glad-handing with citizens but, is well aware of the issues that concern them. The work is done in the office, on the phone, and in meetings with other county officials. To suggest more out of office time, is ridiculous.
Also, I agree that honesty and integrity are important qualities in any elected official and Garth Fell has both and more. He is also humble, kind and not boastful.
The auditor’s office is filled with staff who are also honest and have integrity. They do their jobs with exemplary customer service following Snohomish County code and Washington State RCWs. The office is a well-run operation with a strong management team lead by Garth Fell and doesn’t need fixing.
Although I question some of the candidates experience in the auditor’s office, that information can be verified with a little research.
Don’t be fooled by political rhetoric. The obvious choice for Snohomish County Auditor, is the incumbent, Garth Fell.
