So, America First Legal is suing Washington state to strike down the law allowing youth homeless shelters to notify the state Department of Children, Youth and Families, instead of the parents of a homeless transgender youth seeking affirming care. They claim this is a denial of parental rights to direct their child’s health care.
Where was America First Legal when Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee and a dozen other states passed laws banning such care, in spite of the parents’ rights to direct their child’s health care?
The hypocrisy of the “family values” right is stunning.
