On Thursday, the Everett Herald published a picture of two of the gubernatorial candidates with the article, “Inslee, McKenna call for transportation fixes, revenue.” In the background is a poster “2012 Gubernatorial Candidate Forum.” This is their second joint appearance as the two leading candidates in this article by Jerry Cornfield.
On Friday I see statements by these same two candidates commenting on last Thursday’s Supreme Court decision defining the health care mandate as a tax. Mr. McKenna states “He won’t back his party’s continuing efforts to repeal the health care law.”
There is another gubernatorial candidate on the primary ballot, Shahram Hadian, who has differing views on this and many other issues affecting our state and our nation. As a delegate, I heard him speak at both our Snohomish County and at the Washington State Republican conventions. He received standing ovations at both.
In his June 26 e-newsletter, he promises to “fight the implementation of Obamacare; invoking our 10th amendment rights and to fight tooth and nail in refusing to implement any part of Obamacare. Period.” “This fight is not just about health care, it is about violating the foundational principles of our nation and of an entire faith community.”
There is another and better choice, Shahram Hadian. Don’t be told how to vote “because he can win.” Check out his website and vote your conscience.
